1Introduction
MusiqCheq (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) develops and maintains the website www.MusiqCheq.com (our “Website”) as a free music license document management tool designed to help organizations managing music competitions (such as marching band competitions, figure skating competitions, and similar events) organize, review, and track competitors’ music copyright licenses. Competitors upload their license agreements through a public-facing submission form, and authorized reviewers within the organizing body review the submitted documents to determine whether they meet the applicable licensing requirements. Human reviewers within the organizing body make all final approval or rejection decisions.
MusiqCheq respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. We also wish to note, outright, that MusiqCheq does not sell any data to third parties.
This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit MusiqCheq.com and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
This policy applies to information we collect:
- On this Website.
- In e-mail, text, and other electronic messages between you and this Website.
- Through documents (including PDF license agreements) you upload to the Website.
It does not apply to information collected by:
- Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party; or
- Any third party, including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from the Website.
Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Website. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of this Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
2Children Under the Age of 18
MusiqCheq.com may be used by competitors who are minors (under 18 years of age), as music competitions frequently involve young performers. However, minors may only use the Website with the involvement and consent of a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult affiliated with their organization. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13 collected without parental consent, please contact us at support@musiqcheq.com.
For competitor submissions made by or on behalf of minors aged 13–17, a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult affiliated with the competitor’s organization should supervise the submission process. By submitting documents on behalf of a minor, the supervising adult represents that they have the authority to do so and consents to the collection and processing of the minor’s information as described in this policy.
